Nathan is a strategic SaaS Software Product Leader with 3 decades of product experience, who helps clients launch, evaluate, refine, and grow software Products.

Nathan has both led B2B Software Products and worked in B2C and AI Products for technology and non-technology companies. He has held product leadership positions at companies as diverse as Apttus, Salesforce, and Zuora (IPO Exit). Additionally, he has led product functions at many startups, from Supply Chain to SalesTech. Nathan’s industry experience covers Manufacturing/CPG, Construction, Supply Chain, Finance, Telecommunications, as well as Software. Within this industry, experience is diverse, supporting companies such as Diageo, Clorox, and Ricoh. In each of these roles, he crafted technology solutions for company problems.

Nathan is originally from Sydney, Australia, by way of stints in Asia and Europe.

His first job was stacking comic books in a comic bookstore, after which he graduated to stacking library books, which finally resulted in the ultimate career achievement of video tape rental store manager!

Through college, he worked part-time at a local accountancy practice and graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a combined degree in Business, Mandarin Chinese, and Computer Systems.

After working for Deloitte Consulting out of college and then contracting in SAP and Siebel, Nathan completed an MBA at INSEAD in France and Singapore. Following his MBA, Nathan moved to the Bay Area, where he has worked with technology companies via product management ever since. His career in the Bay Area spans from startups such as togal.ai, using AI in the construction industry, to large companies such as Salesforce.

Nathan is an avid angel investor in technology. He holds several direct positions in his portfolio companies, serves as a Venture Partner for NextGen VC, is a member of the INSEAD Angels group, is a Limited Partner in various Funds, and runs his own syndicate, Swell Ventures. Nathan fundamentally believes that having an investor lens on any technology startup makes you a better Product Manager.

In his free time, he enjoys boxing, squash, yoga, and wrestling with his two young children! If he had more free time, he would indulge in his other favorite pastime, beer brewing. He is a member of the San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce.
