Controller

Leisan Safina is a Controller with 2GO Advisory Group, where she supports clients with controller-level close discipline, multi-entity and consolidated reporting, and hands-on leadership of accounting teams. She has more than 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, including a decade in public-company reporting environments and prior roles managing IFRS reporting departments for large utilities and telecommunications organizations.

At 2GO, Leisan serves as a Controller for clients in R&D, SaaS, professional services, technology, utilities, and telecommunications, overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, US GAAP and IFRS-compliant financial statements, and management reporting packages. She owns the general ledger, supervises and reviews accounting staff, and oversees AP, AR, billing, collections, payroll, and banking activity to ensure accurate, timely, and audit-ready financial information. She helps CFOs during their companies’ M&A and post-M&A stages.  

Previously, Leisan held accounting roles with Reveal Diagnostics and RAVIG in the Bay Area, where she led month- and year-end closes, forecasting, budget-to-actual analysis, and tax and audit support for growing organizations. Earlier in her career in Kazan, Russia, she served as Controller and Head of IFRS for an electric energy company and a public telecommunications company, managing consolidated IFRS financial statements, IFRS transformation, Big 4 audits, and a multi-person finance team.

Leisan’s technical range spans revenue recognition under ASC 606, deferred revenue, cash flow reporting, foreign currency translation, and the development of accounting policies and desk procedures reviewed by auditors.

She is fluent in a wide array of systems, including QuickBooks Desktop and Online, Sage Intacct, SAP, MS Dynamics Axapta, Odoo, MAS90, Salesforce, Bill.com, SaaSOptics, and multiple payroll and expense platforms, enabling her to quickly adapt to client environments and improve processes.

A CPA and holds a master’s degree in accounting, analysis, and audit, Leisan brings a disciplined, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach to every engagement. Clients and colleagues value her ability to diagnose issues in complex close environments, shorten close timelines, and build robust reporting frameworks that support leadership decision-making.
